Metaphors

Camel, Lion and Kid

The man, when being born, is as the camel. It is forced to eat, to assimilate and to store, for a good time, great part of the data, histories and accumulated teachings for the humanity along centuries. Those information arrive to him through the parents' orientations, teachers and masters, of the coexistence with their same ones or also for all the existent cultural production in the society: books, films, art, theater, architecture, every media type... He will ruminate, to ruminate and to chew that enormous amount of data to build his/her system of values and faiths that, most of the time, it is already aligned with values and organized and pré-existent faiths are them religions, be them political systems, philosophies or doctrines.

Most of the humanity lives in the camel state. Only assimilating, accepting, swallowing. Or, worse, if estapeando because of the swallowed content, that is, because of their faiths, ideologies or religions. The man-camels don't have critical potential to stand back of the own faith, to analyze her/it in an exempt way and to discover their defective points or distorted angles. Mainly because she is based on the emotion, not in the reason. Therefore, for them, in some way it seems unthinkable and sacrilegious to do that evaluation.

Some few among the camels arrive to the lion state. Usually, the great felines are revolted against that everything that is there, as if he/she said in the decade of 70. It can be through the art, like Picasso, that subverted the canons of the artistic criteria accepted to his/her time (not without before dominálos very well, for sign). It can be through the movies, like Ingmar Bergman, that brought the human being's conflicting psychological reality for their innovative films. Or it can be through the religion. Francisco of Assis, for instance, was an extraordinary lion of it time.

Lions are usually leaders and, for that, they have enormous influence close to the camels. For that reason, a lot of times are made in pieces by them or, then, for other lions in the defense of his/her territory. The problem of the lion is that, in most of the cases, he is still arrested to the that he is against. He/she can dedicate his/her life and until dying for his/her ideal. As the spiritual master Osho says, that commented on Nietzsche's theory in the book 'Freedom, the Courage of being You Same', the humanity's great majority is packed in the state of the camel; the minority is packed in the apprenticeship of the lion. Most means the masses; the minority, the 'intelligentsia' (painters, musicians, film directors, intellectuals, writers, a good part of the thinkers...). The lion, continues Osho, it develops of the masses and it is done by himself. He is basically mental and egóico. Already to form the child it is necessary a formidable interior revolution. The child is the person that went by a transformation interns radical absolutely. She became another being, it was reborn. It is powder-mental and powder-egóica. The camel lives in the past, the lion in the future and child in the here-and-now.

She is the only really free.
